Your German-speaking IT contact in Madrid.
Software, websites, hosting, email and everyday IT support, handled by one person who speaks your language. I have lived in Madrid since 1993 and have been building and running technical systems for over 30 years. No agency, no call center, no ticket number: you talk to me directly.
FREE · HOW WE START
Describe your problem. I will build you a prototype.
Something that costs you time every week, a manual process that should have been a program years ago, or an idea you keep turning over. Describe it in a few sentences. I turn it into something clickable, so you see the solution running instead of imagining it.
You describe it
In a few sentences, in your own words. The technical vocabulary is my part of the job.
I build it
Within a few days you get a clickable prototype of your process.
You see it running
If it convinces you, we talk about building it properly. If not, that is where it ends, no obligation.
A single process you can actually click through. No real data, no connection to your systems, no support. The point is seeing the idea before anyone spends money.
What I take care of
IT and programming
Custom software, databases, interfaces between systems, automation of the manual work that eats your week. Also the unglamorous parts: a printer that will not talk to the network, a backup nobody ever tested, an Excel process that should have been a program years ago.
Websites
New sites or taking over one that already exists. WordPress, Laravel, Vue. Fixed price agreed up front, live in days rather than months, and I stay reachable afterwards.
Hosting and email
Your own hosting on European servers, with SSL, daily backups and monitoring. Business email on your own domain, set up properly so it does not land in spam. Migration from your current provider is free.
Maintenance and support
Updates, backups, monitoring, and someone to call when something breaks. WhatsApp answered in under an hour during working hours. Month to month, no annual contract.
Why this matters if you are German-speaking in Madrid
- Technical problems are hard enough in your own language. Explaining them in Spanish to a call center is a different sport.
- I know both sides: German expectations of documentation and reliability, Spanish reality of providers, invoices and paperwork.
- One person for everything technical. No handing you between departments, no 'that is not our area'.
- Based in Madrid, working remotely across Spain and the DACH region. On site in Madrid when it genuinely helps.
Who comes to me
Not a specific industry. What my clients have in common is that they want to discuss technical matters in German and want one person responsible instead of four suppliers.
German and Austrian businesses in Spain
Subsidiaries, branch offices and owner-run companies that need local technical support without setting up their own IT department.
Self-employed and small businesses
Consultants, doctors, lawyers, architects, restaurants: a working website, business email and someone who picks up the phone.
Newly arrived in Madrid
Setting up domain, email, invoicing tools and website from scratch, including the questions nobody tells you about in advance.
Existing projects that were left behind
A website whose developer disappeared, a server nobody has the passwords for, a system that still runs but nobody dares to touch. I take those over.
How working together looks
No pitch deck, no discovery workshop invoice. We talk, I tell you what I would do and what it costs, and then it either fits or it does not.
You write, in German
WhatsApp, email or a phone call. Describe the problem in your own words. Technical vocabulary is my job, not yours.
I tell you honestly whether I am the right person
If it is outside what I do well, I say so and point you elsewhere. That is cheaper for both of us than finding out three weeks in.
Fixed price before we start
You know the number before any work begins. If the scope changes, we agree the change first, not on the invoice.
I stay reachable afterwards
The part most people actually care about. The person who built it is the person who maintains it, still there in a year.
Invoicing runs through Martin Schenk S.L., a company registered in Madrid, with a proper Spanish invoice for your accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Do you really speak German, or is that just marketing?
German is my first language. I grew up in Stuttgart and moved to Madrid in 1993. We can work entirely in German, including documentation and invoices. Spanish and English work equally well.
Do you only work in Madrid?
I am based in Madrid, but almost all of the work is remote, so location rarely matters. Clients across Spain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In Madrid I can come on site when it genuinely helps.
What does it cost?
It depends on the problem, and honestly, AI has shifted what things cost and how long they take. So I would rather not put numbers here that stop being true next month. Describe your case and you get a fixed price for that specific thing, before any work begins.
I already have a website and a provider. Is switching worth it?
Only if something actually bothers you. If your current setup works, keep it. If you are waiting days for answers or nobody can explain what you are paying for, that is worth a conversation. Migration to my hosting is free.
Can you take over a project someone else started?
Yes, and that is a large part of what I do. Existing site, half-finished project, a server whose previous administrator is gone. First step is always to work out what is actually there, before anyone touches anything.
How fast do you answer?
WhatsApp during working hours usually in under an hour. Emergencies with a maintenance contract also outside those hours. I would rather tell you honestly that something will take until Thursday than promise Tuesday and miss it.
Do you handle the paperwork side too, invoices and legal notices?
Website side, yes: legal notice, privacy policy and cookie banner set up in line with GDPR and Spanish LSSI. For tax and accounting you need a gestor, and I am happy to point you to good ones.
What if I need something you do not do?
Then I say so. I do software, web, servers, hosting and email. Graphic design, printed material and advertising campaigns are not my field, and I would rather refer you than do a mediocre job.
Shall we talk about it, in German?
Describe the problem in a couple of sentences. I will tell you honestly whether I can help and what it would cost.
