Website cost in 2026: real numbers, not “from 299 EUR”
Five questions, a range straight away. No email, no callback, no teaser price that doubles once you are on the phone. Below: what actually drives the cost.

When I am the wrong choice
If you are after a site for under 1,000 EUR, you are honestly better off with a builder like Wix or an AI tool like Lovable. That is not false modesty: at that price nobody can accompany a project, and I would serve you badly. Call me when the site has to earn money and somebody needs to answer for it.
What actually drives the price
Not the page count
Twenty pages following one pattern are built faster than three that all look different. What costs money are the special cases: that one form, that one table, that one exception.
It is the connections
As soon as the site has to talk to something else (inventory system, calendar, payment provider, newsletter), the effort comes from the integration, not the design.
And the review rounds
The most expensive item in any web project is communication. That is why three review rounds and fourteen days of changes after launch are priced in, and anything beyond gets discussed openly instead of growing quietly.
The running side
A website is not a piece of furniture. Updates, security holes, certificates, availability. Skip that in the budget and you pay it in one lump later, usually on the day the site goes down.
Common questions about website cost
Why not just name a price?
Because a website is not a product off the shelf. The calculator gives a range based on real projects, and after a fifteen-minute call it becomes a fixed figure. That one stands before I start.
Are hosting and the domain included?
You pay the domain directly at the registrar, usually 10 to 20 EUR a year. Hosting can run through me and sits in the monthly fee, but you can also host it yourself and I hand everything over cleanly.
What if I want to change something later?
Small changes are part of the monthly care plan. Bigger ones get a price beforehand. And if you would rather change things yourself, we build in a content system and you do not need me for it.
Can I not build this myself with AI?
For a simple site yes, and I would even recommend it. I work with those tools every day. The difference shows up where it gets complicated: data from a legacy system, payments, legal texts, redirects so Google keeps your position. And afterwards: someone reachable when something breaks.
How long does it really take?
A rebuild using existing content is often live in three to six working days. A new website in five to ten. The bottleneck is almost never the working days, it is how fast texts and images arrive.
What if I do not like the result?
You see the first draft within days, not at the end. Three review rounds are priced in. If it does not fit at all after the first one, we stop and you only pay for the work done.
